Alliance San Antonio adds five players

The Alliance of American Football (AAF) on Wednesday released a new list of players who have been signed by the league.

There are five players on the list who have officially signed with San Antonio:

Cowboys waive former UTSA lineman Price

The Dallas Cowboys waived two players and claimed two players off waivers on Sunday – the day after the roster cutdown to 53 players.

The Cowboys waived Brian Price, a 6-foot-3, 315-pound defensive tackle from UTSA.

Price signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He signed with the Cowboys in 2017 and played in eight games last season.

At UTSA, Price played three seasons and played in 31 games. He had 29 solo tackles, 52 assists and 81 total tackles with 6.0 tackles for loss.

The Cowboys also waived guard Kadeem Edwards.

Dallas claimed off waivers safety Ibraheim Campbell, who was waived by the Houston Texans, and guard/center Adam Redmond, who was waived by the Buffalo Bills.

The Houston Texans cut their roster down to 53 players on Saturday.

Some of the players who are now free, especially the rookies, might eventually sign with San Antonio of the Alliance of American Football (AAF). Here are the rookies waived by the Texans:

UIW’s Gilbert signs with Alliance San Antonio

Incarnate Word wide receiver Jamari Gilbert announced he has signed with San Antonio of the Alliance of American Football (AAF).

Gilbert made the announcement on Twitter and Instagram.

The 2017 UIW roster listed Gilbert as a 6-foot-2, 200-pound senior from Baytown, Texas (Baytown Lee).

Gilbert was also a kick returner at UIW. As a sophomore in 2015, he played in 11 games and had 279 receiving yards and 496 all-purpose yards. As a senior in 2017, he played in 7 games and caught 21 passes for 237 yards.
